The mission of the San Miguel Leadership Institute (SMLI) is to create and host unique learning environments as forums for the exploration of intriguing and timely topics for organizational leaders. Out of this exploration participants will uncover knowledge, insight and awareness that can be directly applied to their business and personal lives.
SMLI forums consist of three critical aspects:
■ A topic that is interesting, meaningful and has significant depth
■ A process and structure that requires participants to fully engage the topic
■ A careful selection of a small participant group that triggers synergy
• How We Are Unique
SMLI forums are not driven by pre-planned content. They do not rely on brand name speakers with “one size fits all” solutions. Our forums have few intended outcomes beyond the deep exploration of a topic within a structure designed to drive interaction, discovery and application. Participants and SMLI staff create and modify the forum’s outcomes through their participation. Each participant will take home a customized plan to increase employee engagement in their organization.
SMLI forums are not for those who prefer to learn by sitting back, being delivered content through presentation and handed with a three ring binder to take home. They are, however, designed for those who enjoy engaging with others, who are willing to take responsibility for fully participating, and who are comfortable creating, molding and being accountable for their own learning.
